Slovin & Council, Co., LPA, a creditors’ rights law firm in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, is proud to continue its support of Lighthouse Youth & Family Services by once again sponsoring the annual Light Awards Dinner, part of the organization’s Beacon of Light event series. Each year, the event celebrates outstanding contributions to the community and raises critical funds for programs that support youth and families in need.
“We believe in the transformative power of Lighthouse and the Light Awards Dinner is a moment to recognize those who truly make a difference,” said Brad Council, Partner at Slovin & Council. “It’s an honor to support an organization that plays such a vital role in helping vulnerable youth find safety, stability, and a path forward.”
Honoring a Mission That Inspires Hope
Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to empowering young people and families through a wide range of essential services. Each year, Lighthouse serves over 6,000 children, youth, and families in the Cincinnati area—providing support in the form of emergency shelter, foster care placement, residential treatment, and mental health counseling.
One of its most impactful initiatives is its commitment to ending youth homelessness. Lighthouse operates Cincinnati’s first and only shelter for homeless young adults aged 18–24, helping them transition to independent living. Studies show that without intervention, homeless youth are significantly more likely to experience long-term housing instability, unemployment, and health issues. Lighthouse’s efforts are changing that narrative—providing housing, education, job readiness, and therapeutic care that address the root causes of homelessness and trauma.
The Light Awards Dinner honors individuals and organizations who champion these causes and go above and beyond to uplift those in crisis. Slovin & Council is proud to support the event’s mission of spotlighting the change makers behind the scenes.
A Tradition of Community Support
At Slovin & Council, giving back to the community is more than an initiative—it’s part of the firm’s identity. Whether it’s through sponsorships, partnerships, or direct volunteer involvement, the firm is committed to standing with organizations that serve those most in need.
Sponsoring the Beacon of Light event is one of many ways Slovin & Council demonstrates its dedication to the greater Cincinnati area. The firm looks forward to attending this year’s Light Awards Dinner and continuing its partnership with Lighthouse Youth & Family Services to help build a brighter, more hopeful future for youth and families across the region.
