Slovin & Associates recently sponsored the Living With Change Annual Gala—Kicks for C.A.R.E.S. The gala is a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable members of society – children facing challenges such as depression, suicide, and abuse, particularly those going through gender transition.
Living With Change, an organization within the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, focuses on their C.A.R.E.S. initiative that promotes a Center for Transgender Youth, Advocacy for all children, Resources for families, Education on any and all youth issues, and Support for those most impacted.
“We are committed to standing alongside organizations like Living With Change. Their mission is awe-inspiring, and we are proud to be a part of it,” Randy Slovin, a partner at Slovin & Associates, said. “Raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for these kids, who are probably our most at-risk members of society, was truly heartening. It’s a cause close to our hearts at Slovin and Associates.”
Living With Change
Living With Change was founded by Chris and Jessica Cicchinelli, hoping to lead the charge toward a change in perspective and awareness to make our communities a safer, more inclusive place for transgender children.
Living With Change engages with schools and businesses to help ensure transgender youth are protected and accepted while working with politicians to change existing policies, prevent discriminatory ones, and promote initiatives that help transgender youth thrive in a more inclusive and equitable future.
The gala aimed to create awareness and generate funds to support children undergoing gender transition. The team at Slovin and Associates believes in the power of community support, especially for those often marginalized in society, which is why they were premier sponsors of the Gala and worked closely with organizers to ensure the event highlighted the incredible work LWC does each and every day in the Cincinnati community.
One notable highlight of the evening was the presence of Drew Lachey, the brother of renowned artist Nick Lachey, who attended the gala with his group of talented dancers. Their presence added to the festive atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of unity and support within the community.
The LWC Impact
So far in 2023, Living With Change has helped 863 children and youth adults receive compassionate clinical care from their expanded clinic staff. In addition, 474 new patients were seen by the LWC staff with 2,252 total visits to a Cincinnati Children’s Hospital LWC clinic.
This year, Living With Change launched a fundraiser with a goal of $500,000 that will be matched by the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. This money will better expand the LWC network and work even more closely with children across the state of Ohio and the nation. To donate, visit their website.
