CINCINNATI, OHIO–Slovin & Associates has teamed up with local nonprofit New Life Furniture Bank to help families and individuals in the Greater Cincinnati area who are leaving homelessness and escaping abuse yet are still living in poverty. New Life Furniture Bank provides beds, kitchen tables, small appliances and other essentials to people in need to help them begin their new lives. As the only furniture bank in Greater Cincinnati, the company delivered to 890 homes in 2019, helping more than 1,800 people suffering from homelessness, domestic violence or abuse, aging out of foster care or other difficult situations.
To mark its 15th year of operation, Slovin & Associates donated the funds to provide 15 mattresses, bed frames, box springs and bedside tables. New Life Furniture will deliver these items directly to people in need, who have been referred by their social service agency partners.
“After 15 years of operating our law firm in Greater Cincinnati, it was our pleasure to mark this milestone by giving back to the community,” said Slovin & Associates founding partner, Randy Slovin. “Especially in these trying times when everyone is facing difficulties, it’s important to remember those in the most need.”
“We are extremely grateful to Randy and his team for thinking of us during this time,” said New Life Furniture Bank Client Services Director, Jill Keefe. “It is much needed as we are still open and hoping to serve as many as we can in light of the challenges the COVID-19 virus is presenting to us.”
