Randy T. Slovin

Partner

Before opening the firm in 2004, Randy spent 13 years as a partner at a different firm where he also practiced creditors’ rights law. An attorney with over 30 years of experience representing creditors, lenders, landlords, leasing companies, medical providers, banks, and credit unions, Randy is certified by the American Board of Certification in the field of Creditors’​ Rights Law. He has extensive experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation under federal and state consumer credit laws.

Randy recently served as chair of the Commercial Law League of America’s (“CLLA”) committee on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, as well as co-chair of their Government Affairs Committee, and is a past chair of the CLLA’s Midwest Region. He is also a member of the American Collectors Association, the National Association of Credit Management, RMAI, and the National Creditor’s Bar Association. 

He is one of the founding members of the Ohio Creditors’ Attorney Association. Randy has been a frequent speaker and panelist before these organizations and numerous others. He has also served as an expert witness in cases concerning alleged violations of the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Randy is a 1980 graduate of Indiana University (B.A.) and a 1983 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law (J.D.) He is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky, as well as in numerous federal courts, including the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
