Randy T. Slovin
Partner
Before founding the firm in 2004, Randy spent 13 years as a partner at another firm, where he also focused on creditors’ rights law. With over three decades of experience representing creditors, lenders, landlords, leasing companies, medical providers, banks, and credit unions, Randy is certified by the American Board of Certification in Creditors’ Rights Law. His practice spans commercial litigation, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant matters, and cases involving federal and state consumer credit laws.
Randy recently served as chair of the Commercial Law League of America’s (CLLA) Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Committee and co-chair of its Government Affairs Committee. He is a past chair of the CLLA’s Midwest Region and remains active in the American Collectors Association, the National Association of Credit Management, RMAI, and the National Creditors Bar Association.
As one of the founding members of the Ohio Creditors’ Attorney Association, Randy frequently speaks and participates as a panelist for these and other organizations. He has also provided expert testimony in cases involving alleged violations of the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Randy earned his B.A. from Indiana University in 1980 and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1983. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky, as well as in multiple federal courts, including the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
